The Borneo Project is a Windows/DirectX RPG currently in the making using an excellent DirectX wrapper, CDX.
Currently, the game engine is coming along nicely, and is nearing completion. The map editor is virtually finished. I am in need of people willing to do artwork and help with story and level design. Please contact me, Jimb Esser, if you think you have something to offer.
Current design files:
Executable files:
- 01-03-04 Game Engine - Official Demo Release 1. Wrote documentation, fixed a few bugs, and disabled non-functional options from battle menus.
- 01-01-25 Game Engine - Battle system working great. Fixed a few glitches in the main screen, allowing for smooth, queued movement. Antialiased targetting lines in battle, and slightly redesigned battle layout.
- 01-01-11 Game Engine - Battle system is well under way! Press B to enter a battle. Battle artwork is 100% Original by me in this version (no more FF2). Current battle system follows the fray model, and multiple attacks can be going on at one time, don't get too confused!
- 00-11-06 Game Engine - Just got the battle engine started! Press B to go into a mini-battle. To exit, you need to quickly assign every character to be attacking, and then press escape when there is no menu up. Also got the stats sub-screen of the Status menu started. Press Q to get to the status menu, and select Stats and one of the characters.
- 00-05-31 Map Editor - Including all current tilesets and a few maps.
- 00-05-31 Game Engine - Uses most of our latest graphics, contains 3 maps with 2 linked doors, multiple layers, and dummy info in the status screen.
Press 'Q' from the main screen to get to the status screen. Arrow keys navigate
